Sub C batteries are cylindrical rechargeable batteries that are commonly used in high-drain applications such as power tools, flashlights, and RC toys. Sub C batteries are similar in size to the standard C battery, but they have a smaller diameter and are shorter in length. They typically measure around 23mm in diameter and 43mm in length. Sub C batteries are available in both NiMH and NiCd chemistry, with a nominal voltage of 1.2 volts.

Sub C batteries are designed to provide high-capacity and high-performance in high-drain applications. They have a relatively low internal resistance, which allows them to deliver high current without overheating or damaging the battery.
