• These AA 600mAh Nicad Rechargeable Batteries are ideal for your outdoor solar lights. Many of the existing Solar Powered Lights require a 1.2 volt AA Nicad battery.

• It is important that you verify the size (AA) and Chemistry (NiCD) before choosing the battery to purchase. Many of the older solar lights are using capacities (mAh) that are lower than 600mAh. These capacities include 250mAh or 400mAh. Our Batteries are interchangeable with any lower or higher mAh Nicd AA Battery. In fact these batteries will last longer then original lower capacity Nicad battery.

• We often get the question: Can I use AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries in place of the NiCD? The short answer is that we do not recommend. The reason is that the sun charges the batteries in the solar lights at a very slow rate. Nicad batteries will fully charge at a low rate. NiMH may not charge up properly.
